What's the Power of PICE?

True Story.

After a Print Industry Credit Executives (PICE) luncheon in Ann Arbor hosted by Edwards Brothers, I received a phone call from a member at McNaughton Gunn. Upon returning from the luncheon, she found a credit application on her desk awaiting a decision.

By quickly accessing the PICE database, she was able to receive the information she needed.

Included in that data were two Flash Reports on the customer she was evaluating. (Flash Reports are real-time updates submitted by vendors to alert other members to changes in a customer's financial status or payment performance.) These particular reports had been submitted by Edwards Brothers, so she called me to get additional input.

I was able to provide valuable information that allowed her to complete her decision making process – information she likely would have been unaware of otherwise. Happy to be able to find out further information about this customer's history, she thanked me for the input.

I ended our conversation by saying, "That's the power of PICE" – a phrase I find myself using often when talking about my experience with this credit group. It sums up the kind of complete and relevant information available to members that allows us to make good, quick credit decisions.

In addition to providing solid, current, industry-specific credit information, I find that PICE reports are a better buy than the generic reports. And, being made aware of additional information on just one account has often saved us thousands of dollars. That's the power of PICE.
